Introduction
Imagine a world where, on waking, you can tune in and
get advice from someone who knows you better than anyone you have ever known in
your entire life; who knows your weaknesses, but also your strengths; is
cheering you on from the sidelines, wanting and hoping for you to realise that
you are not alone, even in your darkest moments.
Welcome to your guide, your angelic guide to be precise; the presence who has
been with you for all of your lifetimes. It may sound far fetched, out of reach
to ordinary mortals, but this is far from the truth I have experienced.
My introduction to guides was via a doctor I met by chance at a lecture. After
the event ended, we fell into a long discussion; culminating with him admitting
that he hears and speaks with angelic guides on a daily basis.
Within two weeks of that meeting I was speaking to my own guide Angelo. The
date was 23 November 2004 and since that time I have helped countless others to
discover the wealth of advice, wisdom, compassion and immense understanding the
angelic kingdom have for us. They know that at times our lives can be
troublesome, burdened by difficulties, whether they are financial worries,
nagging health issues, emotional upsets or even feeling a sense of spiritual
"loss", of "Why am I here?"
So, I hear you say - how do I do it? How do I start? The first step in
contacting your guides is to Believe. Sounds simple, but when you believe, you
can move into a place of Trust and a light begins to shine more brightly in
one's life.
Once you open the door marked Believe, your life may change. You may notice
your awareness grows and your intuition steps up a notch.
Often people are walking around in a fog, operating in a semi-unconscious
robotic state. As a healer and life coach the things that can shake people
awake and out of this stupor may be a serious illness or accident, a family
member or close friend dies, or they are within 18 months of a decade birthday.
Decade birthdays are often the crux to get one out of general apathy and into
action, particularly if we are living less than authentic lives, doing jobs we
don't like, in relationships where we are unhappy or a nagging dissatisfaction
with what we are doing in general (over-eating, self-criticising,
procrastinating, blaming and so on).
Guides live in the spiritual realms and have access to the earth planes. We, as
humans, live full time on earth but can re-connect consciously with our
spiritual selves at will. The issue of "will" is important, for
everything we do relate to free will. We know when we should have followed our
first, instinctive feeling, but often fear (false evidence appearing real)
takes over and we miss the opportunity. We talk about gut instinct, a sense of
knowing and this is usually our guides speaking directly to us. We can
certainly recognise when we go against our "better judgement" when an
outcome hasn't turned out as we wished.
In order to create a bridge of communication between ourselves and our angelic
guides we need to be able to still the mind. Learning meditation and the
techniques involved to be able to move effortlessly from the more active Beta
state into the quieter more receptive Alpha is important. Here lies the place
where the guides can lower their vibration enough for us to raise ours by the
quietening of our busy, active, left-brain minds.
The higher wisdom you seek can come in many ways; one avenue is through angelic
guides and this is the route shown in this book.
Guides are there to help and guide you through all of life's bumps and scrapes.
It doesn't mean the obstacles are removed, but there is a clarity and sense of
understanding as to why something is so.
Some of you will find it easier to connect by writing and allowing your guides
to speak directly to you. With practice you will be able to learn to connect at
will. Communication can take many forms throughout your life. It could be a
sense of "knowing"; a friend or stranger will unexpectedly give you a
valuable message, or you may even be directed towards a book/magazine article
that holds the answer to the question you seek.
Developing a direct, two-way conversation with your angelic guide is the main
aim of this book.
Everyone is spiritual. It is a not a gift you have to go and find, you have it
already inside you. Always take your own counsel for any problems you have and
do not give away your power to another. The world is full of those who wish to
make their "route" the right route to a more enlightened way of
living; however whatever route you are currently on is the right route for you.
Do not be swayed by thinking there is only one path. There are many and your
soul already knows what feels right for you. Today is right for you; even if
today may not seem like it. Being spiritual is not necessarily about being good
or right or enlightened, but about being real, authentic and living your own
