Do I need life coaching?
If you have challenges, goals, ambitions or aims in your life which will bring you happiness and you can confidently achieve these goals in an effective way and time, then no, you do not need to use a life coach. If however, you find achieving some life goals difficult, or need direction on the best next step to take, then it is worth considering using the help and guidance of a professional mentor/coach.

Does life coaching provide psychological or health counselling?
No, Life coaching is about getting the things in life you have always wanted but have not yet achieved; goals, ambitions, life transitions, planning, happiness, relationships, career, etc. Many life coaches are skilled in areas such as career achievement, living a balanced life, business planning/sales/marketing, achieving wealth, successfully completing education, relationships or many other general life areas. These topics are not typically the domain of a psychologist and are therefore supported by life coaches.

How much will it cost?
Costs will vary depending on which style of coaching you decide to use. Please email me to discuss your needs. Refer

Will life coaching be successful for me?
Coaching involves a combined effort from both parties; just in the way the football coach helps and inspires his/her players to higher levels of excellence, so too is the role of the life coach. The individual still has to do the work, or play the game so to speak, but the individual now is armed with tools and knowledge to understand why he/she does certain things and how life can be improved tenfold. If you are prepared to try on some new ideas, you will enjoy and benefit from the coaching process.

What should I expect from the first session?
The first session will clarify the next best steps to take based on the client's Welcome Pack. It is also a chance for the client to add any further thoughts or ideas they may have.

Is 3 months coaching enough?
Everyone has different requirements. One individual may want 3 x 40 minute sessions per month, while another may opt for 2 x 60 minutes. Three months is a good time scale to look back on; where positive ideas and concepts can be owned and incorporated successfully by the client. A three month coaching module is available for this purpose. Depending on the client and the issues they wish to discuss, a few more sessions can be incorporated as required.

Can I have a single session?
Yes. Occasionally I have been asked to do a single session on a pressing issue that needs immediate clarification. However this does not take into account the full picture of the client; therefore it is more ideal to consider a minimum of 3 sessions but ideally 6 over a three month period. This is where change really happens and can be more easily achieved over a wider period of time.

Former clients can use my "spot" coaching service for helpful advice on any problem they wish to table. This can also take the form of mentor coaching, where they are able to think through a decision carefully. Often helpful at management level, but is also valuable for those who wish to look at all sides of a problem or issue, rather than discussing concerns with others. It usually gives a clearer picture and solution to find the best way forward.
